Steve Ransfield, the founder of Villa Homes Ltd, is a qualified builder who started renovating old villas and bungalows in central Auckland in the early 1990s. Steve spent about 12 years doing these renovations and during this time, several people asked him "Can you build me a new villa from scratch?" Thus the idea of Villa Homes Ltd was born.
Steve has put together some classic villa plans, in the style of a traditional square bay villa with a hipped roof. These plans are the starting point for each of the new homes he builds.
Today Steve runs Villa Homes alongside his son, Simon. Villa Homes employs craftsmen builders and associated trades people, so you are guaranteed of a superior job. Traditional building methods are used where possible, including cutting and nailing timber on site.
